Coffee from Huila is always special—doubly so when fully traceable to a women-led producer group. Through Programa Mujer Cafetera, ASPROTIMANA and SENA have empowered women farmers to own and manage their farms and process specialty coffee using on-farm micro-mills.
On small plots intercropped with shade trees, bananas, corn, and beans, the women hand-sort cherries, then depulp, ferment, wash, and dry with meticulous care.
ASPROTIMANA partners with Huila-based, family-owned exporter San Miguel to bring these traceable micro-lots to the global market, ensuring quality control and higher premiums that directly improve the lives of the producers and their families.
